Researcher using state-of-the-art technology

Responding to this announcement our Chief Executive, Simon Gillespie, said:

“We welcome the government’s commitment to ensuring that the UK is still able to recruit the very best scientific talent from across the world.
“However, UK research is dependent on much more than top tier scientists. In order for it to thrive we need to support the entire ecosystem, including technical staff that bring specific skills, expertise and links to scientific networks in their home countries.
“There needs to be a greater commitment to science by the government. We need continued association with Horizon Europe to ensure appropriate research funding, that we ensure close collaboration with the EU and continued support of research networks that allow the cutting-edge discoveries of tomorrow.”
