1. Spicy banana bread

Make this delicious banana bread on a Sunday and have it ready for your breakfast for the rest of the week, with some fresh fruit and a glass of low-fat milk. It's also a great teatime treat, and kids will love it as a healthy snack. Next time you have bananas to use up, don’t throw them away as very ripe bananas are perfect for this recipe.

This tasty blend of yoghurt and muesli is originally from Switzerland and is a convenient way to start the day. Make it the night before and chill in the fridge. You can ring the changes with different fruits depending on what you have available - and it works just as well with frozen fruit.
