While “An apple a day keeps the doctor away” may not be literally true, apples are a great, versatile fruit that lend themselves to sweet and savoury dishes. Here are some of our best apple dishes, from main meals to desserts and snacks.

If you can’t get hold of split mung, yellow split peas are slightly different, but will still make a delicious dish.
