Retail and Action Team opportunities together on one platform, thanks to MyVolunteer
Earlier this month, we launched our first ever Retail volunteering opportunity to our Action Team volunteers using MyVolunteer. Hear about the success of the platform and from volunteer, Ragavendra Koppala, about his experience using MyVolunteer.
We’re delighted to share that since launching MyVolunteer, we’ve onboarded more than 7500 of you and have received some really great feedback of your experiences using the system, which is absolutely fantastic! Thanks so much to all of you who have joined us in this time and for choosing to support the BHF. As usual, we’re always keen to hear your feedback so please get in touch about your experience of using MyVolunteer if you haven’t done so already.
On Friday 2 and Saturday 3 December, we held our retail shop collections, which involved volunteers raising money to support Evelyn’s campaign. For the first time, we promoted a Retail volunteering opportunity to our Action Team volunteers, a brilliant example of how you can get involved with supporting us across different areas of the BHF.
We caught up with Ragavenda (Ragav) an Action Team volunteer, who supported our in-store collections at our Norwich shop.
After losing his brother to heart disease more than 30 years ago, Ragav was keen to support us with our shop collections and raise money for Evelyn’s campaign. Ragav signed up to the opportunity using MyVolunteer and tells us how easy it was.
Ragav said, “I really enjoyed the day and doing my bit to help!”
Shop Manager, Andy, echoes Ragav’s comments sharing how Regev was “very helpful” in supporting Evelyn’s campaign. We are pleased to share that Ragav is now keen to volunteer more regularly in our Norwich shop.
“I’d definitely recommend others to get involved,” he says.
Make sure to keep an eye out for lots more exciting opportunities to follow on MyVolunteer.
