MyVolunteer is our new digital onboarding process, soon available across all areas of volunteering. MyVolunteer aims to improve the overall volunteer experience across retail, community fundraising, and events making it easier for you to volunteer with us.
Linda Fenn, Head of Volunteering, shares why the development of MyVolunteer is so important to the BHF:
“MyVolunteer is transforming the way we recruit, train, and support our volunteers. Be it regular volunteering in our shops and stores, or as a member of Action Team supporting our events, the new system makes it an easy journey for our new volunteers. From corporate volunteers who gift their time to us to young people completing their Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, we have a straightforward online journey. I am so excited that we will soon be able to add all our existing volunteers on to the new platform so that they too can access the range of volunteering opportunities.”
Nicquel Jackson, Technology Project Officer and MyVolunteer Project Lead, shares:
“Before MyVolunteer, each area of volunteering had its own individual way of recruiting and interacting with their volunteers. This meant that volunteers already supporting the BHF looking for additional opportunities had to re-apply each time, thereby creating a slow and inconsistent onboarding experience. We have now collaborated with representatives across our volunteering teams to really envision what a world-class system looks like. We’re already receiving some great feedback from users and volunteers who have already been introduced to the system and the team are so proud of what has been implemented and how easy MyVolunteer is to use.”
