A sneak peek of our new Volunteering Strategy - Easy Flexible and Inclusive

Our new Volunteering Strategy launches in the New Year, check out a preview here.

Our previous surveys, such as the Insights Survey, has provided us with the perfect opportunity to reflect on how people support us and consequently, refresh our volunteering strategy. Following on from a period of immense social change during the pandemic, we felt it was only right to look at our volunteering offer with fresh eyes to ensure that your experience with the BHF is as easy, flexible, and inclusive as possible. So, whether you’re a long-standing volunteer who spends time with us on a regular basis, or if you’re an Action Team member and gift your time more flexibly, this strategy is for you.

Throughout this strategy, we have aimed to:

1. Focus on how we can make volunteering easy, flexible, and inclusive for everyone

2. Ensure all our volunteers experience a journey that matches their motivations for volunteering and that fits with their lifestyle and commitments

3. Recognise the valuable role that each and every one of you plays in supporting our mission to raise funds for research and to support the 7.6m people across the UK living with heart and circulatory disease.

“I have seen first-hand the incredible work that our volunteers do to support us to raise funds for research into heart and circulatory diseases. It is therefore with absolute delight that I am launching our new Volunteering strategy for the BHF.” - Linda Fenn, Head of Volunteering
