Key roles in a fundraising group
To help your fundraising group run smoothly, there are some key roles we’d suggest. Learn more about what these are and how they can help your group.
Fundraising groups can come in all shapes and sizes. However, there are key roles that will help your group run smoothly.
Group leader
You must have a group leader to coordinate your group’s activities. They should have energy, enthusiasm and be good at bringing people together. We recommend they chair your group meetings too.
Treasurer
The treasurer makes sure money raised gets counted, recorded and banked correctly. It’s not an essential role but if someone in your group is good with numbers, reliable and keen to take this role then we would recommend you have them as a treasurer.
Group members
Group members support activities in whichever way suits them best. They’ll be hands-on with fundraising by planning, promoting and running events. It can be a chance for them to use their existing skills, or they might want to learn new skills by being involved in your group.
Other volunteering opportunities
If you would like to do more for BHF or want to try something different, speak to your fundraising manager. They'll be able to tell you about other volunteering roles, or you can search for roles we have available near you.
