Our partnership with Travelodge

Travelodge voted British Heart Foundation to be their charity partner in 2017. Over the past 8 years, the partnership has developed into so much more than raising funds.

About our partnership

Our partnership with Travelodge aims to:

  • raise funds for BHF, with over £1m raised since 2017
  • improve employee and customer health through Travelodge's Better Me staff wellbeing programme and targeted communications to customers

Better Me programme

Travelodge are committed to the health and wellbeing of their staff. They have created a Better Me programme, which can be accessed by all employees.

As part of this, they have collaborated with BHF to provide vital heart health information that is backed by scientific research.

Travelodge have also committed to the heart health of their customers by adding a BHF dish to their bar and cafe menus, with a donation of 50p to BHF for each dish sold.

Creating safer communities

In 2022, Travelodge was a partner in the development and pilot of RevivR, our digital CPR training tool. They were the first hospitality company to roll out RevivR to colleagues and customers across the UK.

Travelodge have since gone above and beyond to amplify survival by:

  • promoting RevivR to all Travelodge colleagues
  • sending targeted communications to customers
  • providing mandatory RevivR training for new starters, including a 6 monthly refresh for existing colleagues
  • placing RevivR mirror stickers in all 47,000 of its hotel rooms
  • trained over 6,000 colleagues and customers in the lifesaving skill of CPR.
