Helping to save lives with The Circuit

The £4.6 million raised is now:

• funding hundreds of lifesaving defibrillators at the heart of communities across the UK
• helping to power The Circuit, the UK’s national defibrillator network.

Early CPR and defibrillation can more than double the chances of surviving a cardiac arrest. The Circuit helps ambulance services to locate the nearest defibrillator if 999 is called in response to a cardiac arrest. This information can make a lifesaving difference.

The support from the Omaze community means we can place more defibrillators where they’re needed most and help save more lives.

A message from our Chief Executive, Dr Charmaine Griffiths

“There are more than 40,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests in the UK each year, and tragically, fewer than 1 in 10 people survive. The money raised by Omaze will help us fund hundreds of local defibrillators and power The Circuit, the national defibrillator network. The Circuit enables ambulance service call handlers to locate the nearest defibrillator in an emergency, which can be the difference between life and death.
