Heart of Oxford Business Board
A group of local business leaders in Oxford who are raising vital funds in support of British Heart Foundation’s lifesaving research.
In addition to organising fundraising events in the local community, the Heart of Oxford Business Board works to increase awareness of BHF’s research.
Every 6 hours, someone dies from a heart and circulatory disease in Oxfordshire. So every penny raised is vital.
The board works closely with Professor Paul Riley, a BHF professor and Director of Regenerative Medicine, at the University of Oxford. He is also Director of the BHF Oxbridge Centre of Regenerative Medicine, and the founding Director of the Institute of Developmental and Regenerative Medicine.
Professor Riley's research focuses on helping the adult heart to repair and regenerate following injury or disease.
