Community Resuscitation Champion

The Community Resuscitation Champion recognises individuals or groups who have made an outstanding contribution to improving lifesaving skills within their community. This award celebrates those who have gone above and beyond to promote CPR training, promoting RevivR, increasing access to defibrillators and registering them on the Circuit, whilst raising awareness of the importance of emergency response in cardiac arrest situations.

What is the Community Resuscitation Champion award?

New for 2025, the Community Resuscitation Champion Award recognises individuals or groups who have made an outstanding contribution to improving lifesaving skills within their community. This award celebrates those who have gone above and beyond to promote CPR training, BHF’s RevivR tool, increase access to defibrillators, registering them on The Circuit whilst raising awareness of the importance of emergency response in cardiac arrest situations.

Our Criteria

Recipients of this award are chosen based on their:

  • Dedication to CPR Education – Actively teaching or promoting CPR training within schools, workplaces, or communities and raising awareness of our RevivR tool
  • Commitment to Public Access Defibrillators (PADs) – Advocating for and increasing the availability of defibrillators in local areas and ensuring they are registered on The Circuit
  • Inspiring Community Engagement – Encouraging others to learn potentially lifesaving skills and spreading awareness of cardiac arrest survival.

Types of Community Resuscitation Champions

  • CPR Trainers & First Aiders – Individuals who lead by example in teaching lifesaving skills
  • Schools & Youth Groups – Educators and students who introduce CPR training into school curriculums
  • Campaigners & Fundraisers – People working to place defibrillators in public spaces and ensure widespread CPR knowledge.

This award honours those who are making a real difference in their communities by empowering people with the skills to save lives.
