Join us for a unique overseas challenge as you cycle on our beautiful bespoke route to the French capital. We organise the whole event and will look after you every pedal of the way. We ask that you raise a minimum of £500 to help power our life saving research.

You can join our London to Paris challenge as:

  • a team - you can cycle the whole route together or as a relay
  • an individual - we will support you all the way with transport for you and your bike

Every penny you raise in sponsorship will go directly towards our life saving research.

Take part as a team

You can choose how your team takes on the challenge: 
  • everyone cycling the whole route
  • as a relay
  • enter more than one team

Registration fee covers travel for you, your support vehicle and equipment to France and back on the Eurotunnel. 

We’ll also provide a meal for the whole team at the end of ride on Monday evening. We will contact you before the event to collect details about your vehicle and menu choices.

Support driver

You will need a support driver and a vehicle that can fit your team and their bikes in. Your support driver will be one of your most important team members; they’ll supply you with food and drink along the route, give some mechanical support and encouragement. Your support team is not limited to one person. 

Accommodation and meals are not included in your entry fee, but we can give you plenty of advice on where to stay and when to buy food. There's also a breakfast and lunch option which you can buy separately more information coming soon.

Individual challenge

Your individual registration fee covers travel for you and your bike to France and back on the Eurotunnel. We’ll also provide a celebratory meal at the end of the ride on Monday evening. 

We will contact you before the event for your menu choices.

British Cycling membership

We strongly recommend all riders take out appropriate insurance. British Cycling membership includes insurance and they’ll donate £4 for every Ride Membership Package our riders sign up for. Find out about the great membership benefits.

Get your family and friends involved

Invite your family and friends to take part with you. They can come and cheer you along as part of your support team. 

They can take part in the celebratory meal for £35. 

They could come and be part of our volunteer team and help make the event a success.

At the start Friends and family are very welcome to come along and support you at the start and on the ride as part of your support team. Encourage them to ramp up the red and support us. 

The route 

We provide a fully signed route with daily briefings to keep you on track. GPX files are available on request before the event and maps are handed out at the start of each day. Because of the nature of this event, facilities vary along the route. Where possible, check points are based near local amenities and essential facilities such as toilets, and in some cases, showers. Six marshal cars, a medical vehicle and bike mechanics will be out on the course each day. Other vehicles will travel up and down the route throughout the day, and be at designated stop points.

Day one

Approximately 67 miles (108km) and 1,100 metres climbing

Your ride begins at Chelsfield Lakes Golf Club, Orpington. We will ride through some wonderful Kent countryside to Hythe before we get on Eurotunnel to France.

Day two

Approximately 84 miles (135km) and 1,560 metres of climbing

We depart from Marquise and head down towards Vallee de la Course before the final push towards the gothic grandeur of Amiens Cathedral  

Day three

Approximately 92 miles (148km) and 1,850 metres of climbing

Your third and final day of riding takes you south through Marines, Orgeval and finally to the finish line at the Palace of Versailles. Then it’s time to celebrate at our fabulous end of ride dinner. 

At the finish you'll be presented with your medal and then have time to freshen up at you hotel ready for our end of ride dinner.  We'll return home on Tuesday 7 September 2016.
