Thames Bridges Trek Ultra Challenge

Join more than 2,000 walkers and trek 25km across London with unrivalled views of the skyline and landmarks. Set out from Putney Bridge and head East towards the City, zig-zagging over the Thames across 16 historic bridges, each with a fascinating story. Enjoy a rest at your mid-point rest stop in The Oval Cricket Ground with plenty of snacks and drinks. At the end of your epic 25km journey, you’ll head over Tower Bridge to a celebration and afternoon picnic in Southwark Park. Sign up as a team or an individual and get ready to experience full support every step of the way.

How to enter

There are 2 entry options for our Thames Bridge Trek Ultra Challenge.

Charity funding

Pay a small registration fee and commit to a fundraising target. BHF will cover the cost of your event. As BHF is an official Ultra Challenge series partner, we're able to offer Charity Funding places for just a £5 registration fee till 30 September 2026.

10km distance 

  • £15 registration fee
  • £150 fundraising target

25km distance

  • £30 registration fee
  • £275 fundraising target

Self funding

As a Self Funder you'll pay the full cost of the event place. And you can fundraise however much you'd like.

10km distance

  • £49 registration fee

25km distance

  • £89 registration fee

To take part, you must raise the minimum sponsorship for your distance. We require half of your fundraising target 4 weeks before the challenge to secure your place.

Please note these events are organised by Ultra Challenge. Participants raising funds for British Heart Foundation will be joined by others, raising money for different charities. Find out more on the Ultra Challenge website.
