We have partnered with big names this February to help save more lives across the UK
It comes as we mark Heart Month to help raise funds and awareness for our research into heart and circulatory diseases - which currently affect 7.6 million people in the UK. Thirteen big UK brands are helping us by supporting Heart Month this year.
Amongst them is the AJ Bell Futures Foundation, who are headline supporters of this year’s Heart Month activity. The financial services company, who also sponsor the Great Run Series, are keen to train as many people as possible in the lifesaving skill of CPR. For every person trained this February through our online CPR tool RevivR, they will donate £5 to us, capped at £50,000.
We also hold longstanding partnerships with PureGym, Royal Mail, Tesco and Charles Tyrwhitt who are all stepping up their lifesaving support during February.
Teresa Hicks, Director of Corporate Partnerships here at the BHF said:
“We are thrilled that so many companies are wanting to support our lifesaving work and mission to find new treatments and cures for heart and circulatory conditions. We’re so grateful for their time, effort and enthusiasm in helping us to spread the word of the impact these diseases have on so many of the population.
“It is vital that we continue to fund medical breakthroughs, and this can only be achieved through awareness, the generosity of donations and fundraising from the public and our corporate partners.”
Long term partnerships
PureGym are hosting a ‘Love your Heart’ week which will offer heart-themed work out classes, blood pressure checks and will be donating a generous amount to support our campaign.
Tesco are also offering free blood pressure checks at their pharmacies, in addition to sharing delicious heart healthy recipes with customers.
Retailer Charles Tyrwhitt are donating their customers’ preloved suits and shirts to the BHF and raising awareness of cardiac arrests and CPR. They have shared the powerful story of a BHF supporter who had a cardiac arrest at age 18 to over one million customers and are teaching CPR through RevivR to Head Office and their warehouse.

Support through donations, fundraising and CPR awareness
NatWest Group are focusing on CPR and encouraging customers and colleagues to learn CPR via the RevivR app also. The bank is encouraging customers to donate their Rewards to us.Retailer Next and PayPal are featuring BHF as a key charity throughout February. Next are donating 10% from every Charity Bouquet sold throughout Heart Month to BHF and with ‘Give’ at Checkout, customers can opt to donate £1 when they shop online with PayPal.
Mattioli Woods, a wealth management firm, are aiming to fund two of our research projects through their Cairngorm Challenge. Their Chief Operating Officer will take on this awe-inspiring, six-day run through the Cairngorm Mountains in Scotland. His training will kick-start fundraising during Heart Month in the hope of solely supporting two unique and groundbreaking research projects.
With staff involvement featuring heavily across the corporate partner activity, Travelodge and Admiral Slots are supporting colleagues to Go Red to raise money throughout February.
Sharing the real-life stories of those affected by heart and circulatory diseases is key in helping the public understand the impact these diseases have on millions of people in the UK. LloydsDirect are doing just this by highlighting the experiences of families on their website. Insurance provider, SunLife will be telling the story of employee, Chris Pinnell who had his life saved by a cyclist who was trained in CPR. They will be sharing Chris’ story across social channels as well as and promoting heart-health articles to their customers and colleagues.
