BHF NI welcomes the return of Stormont Assembly to prioritise heart disease care

We warmly welcome the restoration of the Stormont Assembly.

We look forward to working with Minister Robin Swann and all political parties to save and improve the lives of the 225,000 people living with heart and circulatory disease.  
 
Our new Executive has a real opportunity to take a new strategic approach to heart disease which remains Northern Ireland’s biggest killer. 

In the coming weeks and months we will work alongside our health decision makers to ensure heart disease care is prioritised and protected. 
 
We would also like to see the prioritisation of a Women’s Health Strategy to address inequalities in care for heart and cardiovascular health.
