Give books a second home this World Book Day

This World Book Day, Thursday 3rd March, we are encouraging the public to donate and buy preloved books in one of our nationwide shops.

World Book Day is celebrating its 25th anniversary and we are inviting everyone to donate their preloved books and find a new read in one of our 730 shops. They are also a great place to find fancy dress items for anyone taking part in the day and dressing up as their favourite book characters.

Every pound raised in our shops helps us support those living with heart and circulatory disease.

“There’s no doubt we’re a nation of book lovers but I’m sure we all have a shelf or pile of finished reads just waiting to find a new home,” says Retail Director, Allison Swaine-Hughes. “World Book Day is a great opportunity to discover new authors and pass on some of your favourites too.

“Our book departments are a firm favourite with our customers, but we need the generous donations of the public to keep our shops well stocked. Donating couldn’t be easier – you can just drop by your local shop or why not use our free postal service, available online. Don’t forget to check out your local shop’s book selection where you can find some of the hottest bestsellers and well- loved classics. They don’t hang around for long!”

This March we are encouraging the public to declutter and donate to help fund our life saving research.
