Our shops in parts of Scotland will temporarily close for three weeks

A number of our shops in Scotland will be closed temporarily from 3pm this Friday 20th November, but you can still support us by shopping online or posting your donations.

Twenty six stores in Glasgow, Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire, East Dunbartonshire, West Dunbartonshire, North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire, East Ayrshire, South Ayrshire, Stirling and West Lothian are affected and will be closed for three weeks, following the Scottish Government’s announcement to move these areas into Level 4 restrictions.

However, our shops across the rest of Scotland remain open with measures in place to keep staff, volunteers and customers safe. Our online shop and eBay store are also operating as usual, to help continue to raise vital funds for heart research.

Jane Flannery, Senior Regional Director said: “Along with other non-essential shops in the areas of Scotland affected, sadly our doors have to close for now. But during this time, you can still show your support by shopping online and posting us your unwanted items. There are around 720,000 people living with heart and circulatory diseases in Scotland and every item you buy or donate helps us make a difference.”

While closed, we will be unable to continue our home collection service. If you have a query regarding a purchase or collection of donations from one of our Scotland shops, our customer service team can help.

Our Wales and Northern Ireland shops remain open at this time, while our 616 England shops will reopen following the English lockdown, on the 3rd December.

You can still donate

If you are planning a clear out, you can post your smaller items such as branded clothing, jewellery, vinyl records and cameras, using our freepost donation service. Simply download your free label and head to your nearest Collect+ drop-off point with your unwanted items, as part of your essential shop. We would ask customers to please avoid leaving donations outside of our closed shops and save them for when we reopen.
