  • Vlogging Ahoy!

In Bristol on Saturday 28th April 2018 we had a vlogging workshop like no other, at the SS Great Britain ship in Bristol.

Working in teams, Teen Heart members recreated scenes from the film Titanic in their vlogs and got to grips with lighting, sound and editing. They then got to create vlogs on their favourite topics from travel and hobbies to MTV cribs.

Now they have the skills to plan vlogs, present on camera and create YouTube channel, we look forward to seeing what vlogs they go on to make. Big thanks to everyone who liked and subscribed to this workshop!

  • Is there life on Mars?

That was what Teen Heart members were given the task of finding out when we visited the National Space Centre in Leicester on Saturday 2nd December 2018.

After programming their own Mars rovers, Teen Heart members then had to  get the robots moving about, by coding them to go exactly where they were meant to, when they were meant to.

We couldn't make it too easy though so there were some challenges thrown in along the way, with the grand finale being an obstacle course. Each pair had to programme their robot to navigate across Mars, dodging boulders, refuelling and finally docking back on the space station. There were some great attempts and one very speedy completed run.
