Amber Valley Fundraising Group reaches £50,000 fundraising milestone
We hear from Paula Scaife, Fundraising Manager of the Amber Valley group, to celebrate this significant fundraising milestone.
Since 2014, the Amber Valley Fundraising Group have been supporting the BHF. Despite only being a small group, each year they aim to put on at least two events and are always keen to support supermarket collections and other local events.
In 2019, the group attended a local supporter conference and heard another group talk about their swimathon, so they decided to give it a go! Their annual swim now attracts participants from local schools and youth clubs and raises around £2K.
Paula Scaife, Fundraising Manager, says: “The group is always looking for new ideas and they’re keen to welcome along any new members that want to support them. Their bright outlook and positive attitude makes them great ambassadors for the BHF and I was thrilled to be able to present them with an award for reaching their £50K milestone.”
