A big thanks for supporting our events and collections so far this year!

We've had some amazing events over the past few months that you've played a significant part of. Let's look back at just a few of the recent highlights...

More than 40 volunteers supported us at London to Brighton Off Road Bike Ride at the start line, throughout the route, or at the finish line. With 1700 riders, it was a busy day, but all your efforts helped contributed to running total of £450,000 so far towards our lifesaving research. And don’t think that your hard work goes unnoticed. Our cyclists commented on just how amazing the support was throughout the route, so a massive thank you for dedicating your time to make a difference!

We’ve also had amazing cheer points supporting hundreds of BHF runners to the finish line, such as Cardiff Half, Great North Run, and Royal Parks – some of the BIGGEST half marathons of the year – where you helped to create an incredible atmosphere. A big thank you to every Action Team volunteer who supported us and made a real difference to our runners. We’ve had some amazing feedback from our participants sharing just how special you make running for the BHF. Spotting the sea of red always puts a smile on our runners’ faces, no matter how many miles they’ve ran!

And that’s not all you’ve been up to! During September as part of our ‘Spotlight On’ marketing campaign, we undertook train station takeovers across the country at stations in Bristol, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow, Reading, as well as in several London stations at Waterloo, Victoria, Kings Cross, and London Bridge.

As part of the collections, we were also trialling remote card readers alongside the collection buckets, giving people more ways to easily donate. All of you who took part across the country put in a fantastic effort to engage the public about all the amazing work BHF do and thanks to your help promoting our cause, we raised more than £5000.
