Clinical trials

Clinical trials provide crucial evidence that diagnostic tests or treatments are safe and effective. We fund clinical trials across a broad range of heart and circulatory conditions and their risk factors, such as diabetes and chronic kidney disease.

We are currently supporting 41 clinical trials worth around £36m that aim to improve the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart and circulatory conditions.

We fund clinical trials across a broad range of heart and circulatory conditions, as well as trials that aim to prevent or treat heart and circulatory diseases in conditions that increase their risk, such as diabetes and chronic kidney disease.
