If successful, through the partnership we'll aim to heal hearts across the UK by raising £1 million with KPMG over the next two years.
This money will help us save lives today by bolstering our vital support services for people going through the toughest of times, and save lives tomorrow by fuelling groundbreaking science with the power to keep families together.
The charity partnership will give a platform for KPMG employees to become "heart champions", with opportunities for them to participate in BHF volunteering and fundraising events.
Staff will also be given the chance to become KPMG life savers and train others in CPR, as well as learning more about their heart health through our dedicated workshops.
A vote for hope
Voting is now open for KPMG staff and will close on Friday 12 November 2021.The winner will be announced at KPMG’s all-colleague Connect 2021 event on 16 November, with the charity partnership set to begin from December.
Dr Charmaine Griffiths, our Chief Executive, said: “We are delighted to be in the running for the KPMG Charity Partnership. A vote for the BHF is a vote for hope for millions of people affected by heart and circulatory diseases.
“There are 7.6 million people living with heart and circulatory diseases in the UK and one in four deaths are caused by these devastating conditions.
"Our partnership has simply never been more needed, and we are so inspired by the difference that our work with the KPMG family could make for so many people. Together, with your support, we can work to save and improve lives.
“Covid-19 has had a significant impact on us all. We know how difficult it is to stay connected when we’re all working in different locations.
"Our partnership will help to reunite colleagues from across KPMG as heart champions, who can help us keep more families together, for longer.”
If you know someone who works for KPMG, please do encourage them to vote for the BHF. A vote for the BHF is a vote to save lives.
