Alex will join around 1,000 people on our London to Brighton trek over 25 - 26 June. The Brighton-based reality TV star has 30 hours to complete the challenge as she helps raise vital funds for our life saving research.
She is taking on the gruelling challenge as her family has a long history of heart disease. Her father Andrew, who also appears on the Channel 4 programme, has suffered from several angina attacks and had a stent fitted in 2007. Also, Alex’s grandfather died of dilated cardiomyopathy in 1993 when Alex was just two years old.
Alex said: "The BHF’s London to Brighton trek is an event I’ve wanted to take part in for a couple of years now, so I’m really excited. I’ve never walked this distance before but it’s all for an amazing cause that’s close to my heart. My dad is just one out of 2.3million people living with coronary heart disease in the UK today, so I’m proud to say I’m doing my bit to help fund the BHF’s life saving research."
