Santander employees will be walking 50 million steps in 10 days to raise vital funds for our life saving research.
The challenge will see over 100 teams from Santander across the UK putting their best foot forward to walk a combined total of 50 million steps from 11 May - 20 May. Together the teams hope to raise £100,000 as part of the bank’s commitment to raise £1million for us throughout 2015.

Stephen Jones, Chief Financial Officer at Santander, said: "The 50 million steps challenge is a fantastic opportunity for our staff to come together and get active in the fight for every heartbeat. Whether it is simply going for a walk at lunch, or incorporating a walk into their daily commute, every step will help raise vital funds for the BHF while doing something positive for their own heart health."
Amit Aggarwal, Head of Corporate Fundraising at the BHF, added: “We are thrilled to have the support of Santander staff. As a charity we rely on funds raised by our supporters to continue our pioneering research into coronary heart disease. The funds raised by Santander will help us continue our research, support and care for those living with heart disease throughout the UK. I can’t thank them enough."
We were chosen by colleagues at Santander to be their Charity of the Year for 2015. The partnership aims to raise £1 million to help us in our fight against cardiovascular disease (CVD).
