Red Bench Diaries
To mark 65 years since the BHF was founded, we have unveiled 65 red benches across the UK in celebration of those who have survived, or are living with, cardiovascular disease.

Our #RedBenchDiaries met with Farmer and Britain’s Got Talent winner Hugh Thomas at his home in Pembrokeshire, where he shared his own heart story with us.
Esme’s story
Our #RedBenchDiaries previously visited Senedd Cymru in Cardiff to share the heart story of 5 year old Esme, from Swansea.
‘Warming the bench’
Our #RedBenchDiaries also heard from local poet and heart patient, Leigh Manley, who launched the series with an original poem on the steps of the Senedd, featuring people across Wales who received benches as part of the campaign.
