Wakefield Heart Beats is a friendly group of cardiac patients from Mid Yorkshire who meet once a month in a Wakefield coffee shop for drinks, cake, and friendly conversation. Drop in if you’d like company or moral support.
Prefer online? Join our WhatsApp group where people share thoughts, tips, and experiences related to heart health and everyday life.
We have links with local cardiac group ‘MY Cardiac Buddies’, which offers sessions run by specialists at Pinderfields and Dewsbury Hospitals covering areas like cardiology, psychology, physiotherapy and diet.
To help rebuild strength and confidence, many buddy up together at local gyms or go walking. If you or a loved one has been affected by heart issues, come along — talking really helps!
