What is the group all about?
We offer friendship and support to people who are experiencing or recovering from some form of coronary(heart) event such as angina, heart attack, heart surgery or ischaemic heart disease, and welcome patient's carers, spouse, partner, family member or friend too. Our meetings cover subjects relating to all kinds of heart disease such as medication, exercise, diet and more. Each month we have a speaker (Cardiologist,General Practioner, Pharmacist,Cardiac Rehabilitation/exercise specialist, etc)who give a brief presentation which is then followed by a question and answer period. We try to make 3 meetings a year solely for a social non medical speaker or social event. These could involve a quiz, debate, interesting speakers, and also walks are arranged to cover different fitness levels of members. With the help of local grants, outings are arranged to local places of interest.

Meeting Times:
The group meets on the 3rd Wednesday every month at 7.00pm.
