Separate the wings into 2 meaty sections by cutting through the joint. You can either remove and discard the pointy tips or leave them on if you prefer not to bother.
Combine all the spices in a small bowl. Use half of this spice mixture to coat the chicken wings and reserve the remainder in a jar for later use. Mix together the hot honey and apple cider vinegar in a small bowl.
Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. If a single layer isn't possible because your drawer is too small you will need to turn or 'shuffle' the wings more frequently during cooking. Cook for 10 minutes at 200°C.
Flip the wings, brush with half of the hot honey mixture, and cook for another 5 minutes. Flip the wings a second time, brush with the remaining hot honey mixture, and cook for a final 5 minutes or until all the wings are golden and cooked through.
Whilst the wings are cooking, mix together the yogurt and chive dip ingredients in a small bowl.
Plate the wings from the air fryer. Serve with the dip on the side. For an extra twist, add a green salad and garnish with crisp celery sticks.
How we made it healthier
Using an air fryer to crisp up the chicken wings uses less fat than traditional cooking methods.
