How to run a safe event

When you fundraise for BHF, it's vital to consider the health and safety of everyone involved in your events. We have put together guidance to help you keep your event safe.

Our downloadable event plans, checklists and health and safety guides will help you to run an event safely. If we haven't created any guidance for the type of event you are running, please speak to your fundraising manager. They will look at how we can support you with fundraising, or with any other questions you might have.

Once you select the form you need, it will automatically download to your device.

Event plans and checklists

Event plans and checklists can help you assess the hazards associated with your event. This can help make sure your event is safe and successful.

Health and safety guidelines

As a volunteer, you act on behalf of BHF so you must follow our health and safety guidelines. This will help you feel confident you’re approaching health and safety in the right way at your events.

We ask for this information to try and avoid anyone being injured at your event. We want to help make sure the event is successful, and protect the reputation of the BHF.
