Fundraising groups

Joining a local fundraising group is a great way to raise money for BHF. You’ll have fun, meet people and make friends. Find out how to join your local group or get help to start your own.

About our fundraising groups

Our fundraising groups are formed of volunteers who want to raise money for lifesaving heart research in their local community. They also act as ambassadors for our charity and support the work we do.

Our local fundraising groups work to:

  • organise and take part in local fundraising events
  • support national fundraising campaigns, such as ‘Go Red for Heart Month’
  • inspire local people, schools and businesses to fundraise for us.

Group members give their time for many reasons and you do not need a personal connection to our charity to get involved. Many find them a great way to meet people, make friends and give back to their local community.

Our fundraising groups usually meet once a month to plan activities and you can take part in whatever way best suits your interest and skills. You’ll also be supported every step of the way by your local Fundraising Manager.

Join or start your own group

If you’d like to join a group, you’ll need to find out if there’s one in your community. Search our directory to find a fundraising group near you.

You’ll then need to contact your local Fundraising Manager to let them know you want to join. If there isn’t a group in your area, they can let you know if one opens. They can also offer support to help you start your own group.
