Swimming Training Plan

Training to take part in an open water swim can be demanding. So we have put together, alongside our partner OpenWaterSwim, an intensive 16 week training plan to get you Bournemouth Pier to Pier Swim ready.

Our 16-week Training Plan

Our 16-week Training Plan has been built on the basis that you are a capable swimmer, but may be new to open water swimming. It is suitable for both beginners and advanced swimmers, as the plan is based on length, repetition and building up fitness.

Using our Training Plan

Training should always be personal and tailored to you, your lifestyle, your capabilities, your background and your fitness levels. This advice has been provided in order to give you an indication of what is normally recommended for a challenge of this nature. You are under no obligation to follow it and it is your responsibility to shape a training plan that is right for you as an individual.
