Choose from 10k or 13.1 mile routes at Harewood House in February 2019 and join us in beating heartbreak forever.
This tough challenge will take you across muddy tracks, grass trails and steep forest trails. This run will test even the most seasoned runner, but you'll feel like a champion when you cross the finish line.
Event date change
We're sorry to announce that due to unforeseen circumstances, we’ve been forced to move the event date to Sunday 17 February 2019.
We would like to sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this change may cause. We have made the decision to move the event due to the original date clashing with another running event at the venue. We can assure you that this is not a decision we have taken lightly. If for any reason you cannot make this new date please let us know and we'll arrange a refund or a transfer to another event.
Harewood House Half Marathon & 10k will take place on Sunday 17 February next year. Early bird registration is now open, sign up early and benefit from early bird discount.
If you are under 18 you'll need to complete a digital entry form and send it back to us. All under 18's must be accompanied by an adult at all times during the event.

Make your travel plans
Free parking available at Harewood House. Please be aware that the House and its grounds are closed to the public on the date of the event and any spectators attending will only be permitted to view the event from designated areas.
Please arrive at least one hour before the event to avoid congestion and follow the signs and stewards upon arrival.
When leaving the event there will be two exits - the main drive and Weardley Road. Please be patient and be aware that due to the volume of traffic, you will encounter delays when departing the venue. Parking marshals will be on hand to ensure exiting is safe and as swift as possible - please follow their instructions.
Harewood House is well signposted. Follow the brown tourist information signs for Harewood House.

Raise money to power our research
Your entry fee covers the cost of organising the event, such as venue hire, toilets and medical cover.
This run is a fundraising event, it is the money you raise that powers our life saving research. We ask that you raise £10 for every mile you'll accomplish. The minimum sponsorship target is £130 for the Half Marathon, and £60 for the 10k.
If you raise over £500 you'll be eligible to join our exclusive 500 club, more information can be found on the tab above.

Lots of companies operate Matched Giving schemes that can double the amount of money you raise. Find out if your employer operates a scheme and if they will match what you raise. Remind them that it’s tax efficient for them and it benefits the BHF.

Take a look at our recommended running kit list for what to wear on the day and what to bring with you. You'll receive your participant number in the post just before the event.
Trail shoes are not a requirement but are recommended as the route is a mixture of trails and grass. All participants should dress appropriately for the weather at this time of year and bring spare clothes for after the event. Also check out our professional running kit available in our online shop. Family and friends are welcome to join us on the day. The main event site where the start and finish will take place is located in front of the house, which is where the car park is also situated. Harewood House will be closed at the time of the event, therefore the house, grounds and children's play area will not be accessible. The event site will have catering facilities, toilets and a BHF fundraising tent for spectators to make use of during the day.

As long as you have your running number (securely pinned to your top with the details on the reverse completed), there is no need to register when you arrive, but there will be an information point should you need any help. Please attach your timing chip to your shoe laces.
Please note, we are not accepting registrations on the day. If you have any questions about the event there is an information point located on the event site. A map of the route will be available to view.
There is a toilet block in the car park area, there will also be portaloos on the event site, and one at water station 3, on the route.
To avoid congestion and delays outside Harewood, runners from Harrogate and the North West, are strongly advised to follow the yellow event-directional signage from the Buttersyke roundabout. Instead use the A658 through Pool in Wharfedale. Set off a few minutes earlier to guarantee you arrive on time.
The circular route that starts and finishes outside Harewood House is tough with on off-road paths, muddy uneven trails and grass with several inclines. Please take care when running, particularly if the weather conditions are poor.
There is a cut off point at the 8.5 mile point, if runners have not reached here by 12.30 they will be driven to the finish line.
This event will be fully marshalled for your safety, with medical support provided.

There are 3 water stops on the route which are marked on the route map (Note: Water stop 2 is for both the half marathon and the 10k route). Hot and cold beverages will also be available for purchase in the event village.
Feel free to bring as many of your friends, family members and dogs (on a tight lead) to join in the cheering en-route and at the finish line. Please note that Harewood House is closed to the public during the winter and so will not be open on event day.

If you have raised £500 or more (excluding GiftAid) on your JustGiving page, firstly congratulations you are amazing! You'll now be eligible to join the 500 Club and receive your exclusive BHF jersey
For teams to be eligible there must be at least £500 or more (excluding Gift Aid) pledged per person, along with the names of all eligible entrants showing on the team fundraising page and each individual needs to fill in a separate form in each case to claim the 500 club jersey.
(E.g A team of 4 would need a minimum of £2000 (exc Gift Aid) pledged on their team page)
