Hope Valley, Peak District
We want to thank you for all of your hard work with your training and fundraising for the Peak District Mountain Bike Challenge. Unfortunately, due to severe weather conditions, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone the British Heart Foundation Peak District Mountain Bike Challenge. This decision has been made following professional advice as well as analysis of current weather and ground conditions, as the high winds and heavy rainfall forecast continue over this weekend. This simply means that it is not going to be safe to run the event.
We are working hard to secure a new date for this event and we will be in touch as soon as possible. We want you to have the best experience at our amazing event; however the conditions forecast are like to make a number of the trails waterlogged and extremely slippery. As a duty of care to you and our volunteers, as well as preserving these superb mountain bike trails, we have been left with no other option other than to postpone the event.
As a BHF Champion, you will receive an email next week with details of the new date, with relevant registration and fundraising updates. Please also keep an eye on our event webpage bhf.org.uk/peak and Facebook page for more information. If you have any queries, please contact [email protected] or 0300 330 3322.
Thanks so much for your support of the BHF - we really appreciate everything you’re doing to help beat heartbreak forever.
