But the burden of these diseases isn't matched by investment in research which could help end their heartbreak. Support pioneering research projects and programmes to save and improve lives
We fund research into all heart and circulatory diseases, including heart attacks, strokes and vascular dementia, and the conditions or risk factors that can cause them, like diabetes and high blood pressure. We also fund support services, groups and programmes for people with heart and circulatory diseases.

Established in partnership with Health Data Research UK, the new BHF Data Science Centre has the potential to transform heart and circulatory disease research, innovation and care.
The Centre is rapidly establishing itself as a national resource for researchers, clinicians and policymakers. It is already an important part of the data analysis and insight that informs Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies recommendations to Government.
