What is a funeral collection?

A funeral collection is a wonderful way to raise money in memory of someone, by asking friends and family to give money to your chosen charity.

There are two main ways to collect donations at a funeral. You can:

  • collect donations online by setting up a tribute page
  • collect donations in-person at the funeral or memorial service.

If you need help organising a collection, your Funeral Director can advise and support you. They may also be able to set up a tribute page for you.

Why organise a funeral collection?

There are many reasons to organise a funeral collection:

  • it’s a lovely way to celebrate a loved one and leave a legacy
  • you can visit your tribute page any time to remember your loved one, share stories and photos, or read messages of support from others
  • A donation to BHF funds lifesaving heart and cardiovascular research.
