Longleat Half Marathon

Soak up the amazing views of the historic house before heading out to the grounds where you'll be running alongside many of the safari enclosures such as Girrafes, Lions, Hippos and the resident Gorilla!

You must be at least 17 years old to take part in this half marathon. Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Spectator entry is now free, but please note that dogs are strictly not allowed onto the grounds of Longleat House. 

Due to the hilly nature of the course, this event is not suitable for wheelchair users. 

Your entry fee covers the cost of organising the event. It's the money you raise that powers our life saving research.

Make sure you have the right kit

Take a look at our recommended running kit list for what to wear on the day and what to bring with you. You'll receive your participant number in the post just before the event.

Get your family and friends involved

Your family and friends could be part of the action as well. Why not ask them to take part with you, or they could come and help on the day. Volunteers are vital in making our events a success.

Toilets will be available at the start and finish areas, but there are no changing or shower facilities. Luggage storage will also be provided, but please allow plenty of time to drop your bags off if you're planning to use this facility.


Spectators are welcome at the event and there will be no charge for entry to the grounds. The Safari Park and attractions will be closed. The cafe will be open to purchase food and drink. 

There are strictly no dogs allowed onto the grounds of Longleat House. 

The routes

First aid cover will be provided, and the event will be fully marshalled.

For a donation to the BHF you will also be able to have a well earned massage.
