As Euro’s fever sweeps the nation, football fans can get their hands on iconic pieces of sports history by bidding on shirts worn by three of the European Championship’s standout stars: Gareth Bale, Olivier Giroud, and Eden Hazard.
Shoppers can score the goal of the season by snapping up one of these shirts, which are dated from the 2012/2013 season.
Score big on our eBay site
The shirts were generously donated to us via post, from the collection of an anonymous ex-Premier League player from a London club.
Match-worn football shirts rarely come onto the open market, and shoppers can score big by bidding on our eBay site, with bids starting at £49.99 per shirt.
Giroud’s shirt is embroidered with the match date, which took place over Remembrance Day Weekend. He will be competing with France in the Euros this summer, in his final tournament before retirement.
Gareth Bale helped Wales qualify for the last two European Championships as well as last year’s World Cup. Belgium is competing this summer for the first time without their retired former captain, Eden Hazard.
Iconic pieces of sporting history
Martin Longshaw, a member of our eBay team, said: “As a huge football fan, I knew straight away that there was something different about these shirts. I noticed that they weren’t the standard sizing and had adaptations for each player, which you often see with match-worn football shirts. Shirts like these can reach hundreds, so should raise a lot of money for the BHF.
“A huge thank you to our generous donor for these iconic pieces of sporting history. This is an auction that won’t go to extra time, so make sure you’re not sidelined and get your winning bids in!”
All money raised from the sales will go towards funding lifesaving research into heart and circulatory diseases. By shopping second hand with the BHF, you can show fast fashion the red card.
The shirts will be listed 20th June for 10 days on our eBay site, with bidding closing on Sunday 30th June at 8pm (UK time).
