These crispy, seasoned kale chips make for a flavour-packed snack between meals.

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 15 minutes

  1. Preheat the oven to 200C/180Fan/Gas 6.
  2. Toss the kale leaves with the garlic, chilli and oil and lay out flat on a non-stick baking sheet.
  3. Roast for 12 to 15 minutes until kale is just crispy but not burnt – it will crisp up a little as it cools. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Many popular snacks and dips can be high in salt, saturated fat or sugar. Our kale chips are lower in fat and salt than most vegetable-based crisps you’ll find in the supermarket.

100g (4oz) kale leaves, trimmed of tough stalks

2 cloves of garlic, peeled and very thinly sliced

1 red chilli, deseeded and chopped

1 tbsp sunflower oil
