Black forest frozen yoghurt

Yoghurt and cherries combine for this simple fruity dessert with only five ingredients, which makes for a refreshing summer treat.

Black forest frozen yoghurt

Meal type: Dessert

Serves: 4

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Cooking time: 0 minutes

1. Stir the orange juice into the fresh cherries and leave to soak for about an hour.

2. Beat together both yoghurts then stir in the cherries and the orange juice.

3. Freeze the yoghurt mixture for an hour then beat with an electric whisk (or a hand whisk or fork if you don’t have one) to break down the ice crystals. Return to the freezer for another hour then beat again. You may need to do this three or four times in all, until the yoghurt is firm and quite smooth.

4. Serve sprinkled with chocolate curls.

Cook's tip

  • Best eaten within two days. If frozen for longer, soften for 10 minutes at room temperature before serving.
