Why fundraise for Heart Month?

Every 3 minutes, someone in the UK dies from cardiovascular disease. That’s the time it takes to make a cup of tea. But together, we can change that.

Whether it’s sudden cardiac death or the impacts of living with heart failure, too many lives are touched by heartbreak. Your support helps us fund the research that gives hearts a fighting chance.

How can I help?

You can support us this Heart Month, in February, by powering research that helps people live longer, healthier lives. It could be by holding a coffee morning with friends, organising a red-themed quiz or taking on a sponsored challenge.

Whatever you do, you’re helping to fund lifesaving research. Here are some ways you can raise money...

    Challenge yourself

    Choose something you love and set yourself a challenge, like cycling to work every day or running 100km.

  • Colleagues

    Wear something red

    Get your red socks, jumpers and hats out for a ‘Go Red’ day at your office or school and ask for donations.

    Get red carpet ready

    Roll out the red carpet and host a glamorous night in with friends and family. Make it extra special with some fundraising activities.

    Host a quiz

    Host a love-themed quiz and ask for donations to enter. A raffle will help to raise a bit extra, so ask local businesses to donate prizes.

    Golf days, five-a-side tournaments and dance-a-thons are great to get people together for some fitness and fun.
