Defibrillator data file
This data is not to be used for commercial and/or marketing purposes. This is an essential condition of the use of any download.
This data set provides location, availability and access type data of all defibrillators with a Guardian registered on The Circuit. It does not have personal details of the Guardian.
The data has been provided in good faith by the registered Guardians, but may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. The file is updated on the first working day of every month. It is being shared here to support relevant organisations, such as Local Authorities or charities, in making decisions on where to place more defibrillators. It may also be used by academics or researchers in the field of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest and the community response.
In the event of Emergency, call 999
This data is not intended for use in an emergency. If you witness a cardiac arrest, you should call 999 immediately and the ambulance service can provide you with assistance, including informing you of the location of the nearest defibrillator.
Individuals can use DefibFinder to familiarise themselves with the locations of their nearest defibrillators. This will accelerate retrieval if instructed by a 999 call handler. Defibrillators are easy to use, with clear instructions. Training is not required.
This data is not to be used by any party for the creation of an app or other service without our express prior written consent.
