Further resources relating to your award

As part of your award conditions, we ask that you promote our free CPR training tool, RevivR, in your community. On this page, you will find resources to support you with training and raising awareness, as well as other useful information about your defibrillator.

About RevivR training

Did you know 8 out of 10 cardiac arrests happen in the home, and every minute that goes by without CPR and defibrillator use reduces the chances of survival by 10%?

It is essential that members of your community feel confident using your defibrillator and knowing how to perform CPR in the case of a cardiac arrest.

RevivR is our free, interactive, online CPR training course. In just 15 minutes, you can learn how to save a life and receive your very own CPR certificate. It couldn’t be simpler – you just need your mobile phone or tablet and a cushion to practice on.

What you will learn

The RevivR training will teach you how to:

  1. Identify a cardiac arrest – We’ll teach you to recognise the symptoms and what to do if you witness a cardiac arrest.
  2. Make a simulated 999 call – Understand when you should call 999 and what to expect with a simulated practice call.
  3. Perfect your CPR technique – RevivR gives you feedback on your CPR technique and will help you perfect it while you practise.
  4. Learn how to use a defibrillator – We'll tell you how to use a defibrillator and where you can find your nearest one.

How to promote RevivR

You will receive some RevivR posters and flyers with your defibrillator, which you can use to promote RevivR in your community.

In the meantime, you can promote RevivR in the following ways:

Solo RevivR

Our Solo RevivR training is free and takes 15 minutes to complete. All you need is a phone and a cushion.

Team RevivR

If you would like the option to train multiple people at once (for example, at a community event or meeting), you can use our free team version of RevivR.

Anyone can facilitate the training – you don’t need any CPR knowledge or medical training. You just need to load the training tool on a screen at the front of the room.

We have created a guide to help you facilitate team training.
