What is the Heart of Steel?

The Heart of Steel is a 2.4m sculpture with space to engrave 150,000 names. It’s located in Meadowhall Shopping Centre in Sheffield and engraving a name on it is a wonderful way to remember a loved one. 

The donation made for an engraving supports our vital research into heart and circulatory diseases. Watch the video to find out more.

Why engrave a name on the Heart of Steel?

How the Heart of Steel engraving works

Engrave a name on the Heart of Steel for a suggested donation of £30 by submitting our online form. Here’s how it works:

Tell us the name of your loved one

You can use a nickname if you prefer. Let us know their relationship to you. You can also add one or two significant dates to be engraved alongside their name.

We’ll send you a certificate

We’ll email you a certificate to download. You’ll also get a printed certificate in the post to treasure and keep forever.

Engravings take place once a year. You'll get an email from us when your engraving is done.
