The North York Ultra Challenge 2026 takes you from Scarborough along the Cleveland Way to Whitby and beyond. Choose from 100km, 50km, 25km, or 10 miles route, with full support, rest stops, and a celebratory finish. Walk, jog, or run through breath-taking coast and moorland scenery in the UK’s No.1 series of treks and trail adventures.
Registration will open mid-2026. In the meantime, you can explore other upcoming walks and treks.
How to enter
There are 2 entry options for the North Yorks Ultra Challenge.
Charity funding
Pay a small registration fee and commit to a fundraising target. BHF will cover the cost of your event. As BHF is an official Ultra Challenge series partner, you’ll be entitled to a 50% discount on Charity funding entry places.

Self funding
As a Self Funder you'll pay the full cost of the event place. And you can fundraise however much you'd like.

To take part, you must raise the minimum sponsorship for your distance. We require half of your fundraising target 4 weeks before the challenge to secure your place.
