London Winter Walk Ultra Challenge

Participants gather at the Winter Walk start line in a city park.

See London’s most iconic sights with this fantastic walking Challenge, and kickstart your 2027 with The London Winter Walk. Whether it’s the full marathon walk across London, a scenic half marathon along the Thames Path, or the family friendly 10km and 5km. All routes start & finish at The Oval Cricket Ground and take in both sides of the Thames & the capital’s landmarks. Sign up as a team, or as an individual, and families are welcome.

How to enter

There are 2 entry options for our London Winter Walk.

Charity funding

Pay a small registration fee and commit to a fundraising target. BHF will cover the cost of your event. As BHF is an official Ultra Challenge series partner, we're able to offer Charity Funding places for just a £5 registration fee till 30 September 2026.

10km distance

  • £15 registration fee
  • £150 fundraising target

21km distance

  • £20 registration fee
  • £225 fundraising target

42km distance

  • £30 registration fee
  • £300 fundraising target

Self funding

As a Self Funder you'll pay the full cost of the event place. And you can fundraise however much you'd like.

5km distance

  • £39 registration fee

10km distance 

  • £59 registration fee

21km distance

  • £75 registration fee

42km distance

  • £99 registration fee​

To take part, you must raise the minimum sponsorship for your distance. We require half of your fundraising target 4 weeks before the challenge to secure your place. 

Please note these events are organised by Ultra Challenge. Participants raising funds for British Heart Foundation will be joined by others, raising money for different charities. Find out more on the Ultra Challenge website.
