The route
The London to Brighton Bike Ride starts on Clapham Common, South London, and ends by the sea on Brighton Beachfront. The 54-mile route is mostly on closed, traffic-free tarmac roads.

Start times
The London to Brighton Bike Ride takes place on Sunday 21 June 2026. Start times are staggered every 30 minutes, from 6am to 9.30am.
We will send you your start time a month before the event. This will be based on your cycling ability that you provide us with when you register.
Ability level
Whether you're a new rider or a seasoned pro, we encourage everyone to get involved in the London to Brighton Bike Ride. We'll even help you to prepare with training plans and tips.
You can ride at your own pace so no one gets left behind. We have solo rider meet up points, as well as Ride Rangers in every start wave to support you on the day. Remember, it's not your wheels, it's how you use them.
Transporting your bike
We run travel services before and after the ride.
The morning services before the ride run from:
- Brighton to London
- Ardingly Showground to London.
The afternoon services after the ride run from:
- Brighton to London
- Brighton to Ardingly Showground.
You will ride by coach, and your bike will be transported by trailer. Morning tickets to the start line (4.30am - 6.30am) and afternoon tickets after you finish the ride (12pm - 8pm) are £50 each way. Travel tickets will be available soon.
Transporting your bag
We can also drop your bag to the finish line line for you whilst you ride for just £8. Buy a ticket and bring it with you to Clapham Common on the day to drop at our drop-off point. Bag drop tickets will be available soon.

We also offer corporate team entry for groups of 20 or more. Corporate team entry comes with added benefits, support and tailored options to meet your needs.

We’ve partnered with TfL to help you train in and around London to prepare for your ride.
Train on London’s Cycleways
Transport for London are creating a growing collection of Cycleways across London to encourage active travel. Cycleways are routes that join different locations in London into one network. They used to be called Cycle Superhighways and Quietways.
TfL’s Cycle Skills course
TfL’s Cycle Skills online course contains free, easy-to-follow tips to get you cycling on London’s roads safely and confidently.
You can also book a free in-person session with a local instructor. These sessions are run by local authorities across London.
