The route
The London to Brighton Bike Ride starts in Clapham Common, South London, and ends by the sea on Brighton Beachfront. The 54-mile route is mostly on closed, traffic-free tarmac roads. The shorter 20.5-mile route will start at Ardingly Showground, joining the full route.

Start times
The London to Brighton Bike Ride takes place on Sunday 21 June 2026. Start times are staggered every 30 minutes, from 6am to 9.30am for the 54-mile ride. Start times are between 8.30am to 9.30am for the 20.5-mile ride.
We will send you your start time a month before the event. This will be based on your cycling ability that you provide us with when you register.
Ability level
Whether you're a new rider or a seasoned pro, we encourage everyone to get involved in the London to Brighton Bike Ride. We'll even help you to prepare with training plans and top tips to suit the distance you’re taking on.
You can ride at your own pace so no one gets left behind. We have solo rider meet up points, as well as Ride Rangers in every start wave to support you on the day. Remember, it's not your wheels, it's how you use them.
Transporting your bike
Car parking is available for short route riders and you can purchase a travel ticket back to Ardingly Showground.
We run travel services before and after for the 54-mile ride.
The morning services before the ride run from:
- Brighton to London
 - Ardingly Showground to London.
 
The afternoon services after the ride run from:
- Brighton to London
 - Brighton to Ardingly Showground.
 
You will ride by coach, and your bike will be transported by trailer. Morning tickets to the start line (4.30am - 6.30am) and afternoon tickets after you finish the ride (12pm - 8pm) are £45 each way. Travel tickets are available at point of registration, and you can always purchase them later as well.
Transporting your bag
For the 54-mile ride, we can transport your bag to the finish line whilst you ride for just £8. Tickets are available to purchase when you register, and you will have the chance to purchase them later as well.
Join as a corporate team
We also offer corporate team entry for groups of 20 or more taking on the 54-mile ride. Corporate team entry comes with added benefits, support and tailored options to meet your needs.
What you’ll get

Your entry includes:
- road closures across 80% of the route
 - 5 rest stops offering food, refreshments, toilets, medical assistance and mechanics. 2 rest stops if taking on the 20.5-mile route
 - Ride Rangers along the route to help you with anything you need on the day
 - free ‘booster’ transport to help you along the way if you fall behind
 - bag transfer service if taking on the 54-mile ride**
 - coach service to get you to the start line for the full 54-mile ride, or back to Ardingly or Clapham from the finish line for all distances**
 - exclusive 2026 medal for all finishers
 - free BHF London to Brighton Bike Ride jersey if you raise £350*
 - 16-week training plan suitable for the distance you’re taking on and 'Beat the Beacon' training guide to help you cycle safely
