Raise money

Completely planned, organised and managed by the British Heart Foundation, this event exists in order to raise funds for our life saving research. We are therefore asking all participants at this year's event to raise £100 in support of this work.

Creating an online fundraising page is the easiest way to raise money. It takes a few minutes to set up and a link can then be easily shared with your friends and family on social media and by email. Remember, you're taking part in an amazing challenge - people will want to support you.

The route

Our Cotswolds Bike Ride is perfect for all levels of experience. With numerous places to stop in the many villages along the way, and the opportunity to buy lunch and homemade cakes at the popular midway point Winchcombe School, this really is a great day out.

The event will be signed and marshals will be present at key points along the route. First aid support will be present. Free water and toilets will be available at the start/finish location, and there are plenty of cafes and public houses en-route. Luggage storage and changing rooms will not be available.

2018's brand new route

Having listened to participant feedback following last year's event, we've made some alterations to the early stages of the route. Instead of climbing Aggs Hill, you will instead cycle up Ham Road, which will be closed to traffic.

Due to the location of our start site, a climb in the early stages of the route is inevitable, however this route will ensure it is slightly further into the ride meaning legs will be warmer beforehand, whilst the road closure will ensure a better experience for all.

We'll also have a cheer squad lining the hill for encouragement, and people who wish to walk will be asked to keep left in order to avoid congestion for anyone who wishes to take the challenge via their pedals.

We feel these changes will make the event even more enjoyable in 2018, and underlines our dedication to listening to our loyal supporters and providing the very best experiences possible throughout our cycling events.

Please consult our route map for more information about the road closure on Ham Hill. It will be in place from 7am-2pm - or until the last participant has completed this section. All local residents and businesses have been consulted with, but if you have any questions about this please contact us by emailing [email protected]
