Every 3 minutes, someone in the UK dies from cardiovascular disease

It’s one of the biggest killers in the UK, and also the most underfunded. It affects everyone and doesn’t discriminate. Women. Men. The young. The seemingly fit and healthy.  Lives are ending far too soon. Since 1961 we’ve funded lifesaving research and, with your help, the future looks bright.  

Artificial intelligence (AI) that predicts heart attacks long before they strike. Curing inherited heart muscle conditions. Preventing heart failure with revolutionary treatments. All within our grasp, thanks to pioneering research - but our work is far from done.

Jack was 17 when he collapsed from a cardiac arrest. CPR saved his life. He was fitted with an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) and a pacemaker and is now studying Software Engineering at university.
