Your route takes you out of the hustle of London and on through pretty villages and quiet lanes before coming to the excitement of the finish in Southend.

Riders under 16 must be accompanied by an adult rider (over 18) at all times.

Your entry fee covers the cost of organising the event. It's the money you raise that powers our life saving research.

The start

Bike Events charter trains

For £12.00 per person, two Bike Events charter trains will run in the morning only from Southend Victoria to get you to London for an 08:00 start. The trains will also call at Hockley, Rochford and Rayleigh only. Only tickets sold by Bike Events will be valid on the two special charter services; Greater Anglia season tickets won't be valid on these services.

The route to the start will be signed from Stratford station (where the service terminates). 

Train times will be announced nearer the date - details in the Ride Guide sent as part of each registration pack. 

More services will also run in the morning from Southend Victoria and Southend Central stations to take riders to Stratford and in the afternoon to take riders back to Liverpool Street and stations en route.

You'll receive your participant number in the post just before the event.

Get your family and friends involved

Your family and friends could be part of the action as well. Why not ask them to take part with you, or they could come and help on the day? Volunteers are vital in making our events a success.

Your friends and family are very welcome to join in the cheering at the start and finish line, as well as along the route - but we do ask that you don't bring dogs with you.

The route

All riders will be given a route map on the day, containing the emergency medical, mechanic and route control telephone numbers.

The event is fully signed and supported with first aid, marshals and mechanics. Water will be available at the start and finish, and en route.
